I definitely feel like I've been on a journey to discover who I am these last couple of years. I've been discovering new passions and rediscovering the old, taking risks with my career and exploring new possibilities, facing the pain in my past and tackling the challenges in my present, and examining whether the whole "go to college, get married, buy a house, and have kids" standard life path formula is what I actually want instead of just blindly following it.
I've always struggled with being myself. I worry about what other people think about how I look, what I say, and if they actually like me. I have low self-confidence.
As I discover more about who I am on this journey, being myself becomes easier. I have more confidence in myself and the choices I make. And, I don't worry about other people's opinions nearly as much as I used to.
In becoming myself, I am able to just be me.
I'm really curious to know if this transformation is something we all go through as we grow up. Have you been on a journey too?
