GeekGirlCon is my personal favorite of all the conventions I have been to as an attendee or a vendor. Like I said in
last year's post, there is just something different about the feel of GeekGirlCon. It has a positive energy, an openness, and a friendliness to it that I absolutely love. The most common question I get asked is whether men go to GeekGirlCon too. The answer is yes. :)
If that's not enough to entice you, how about the fact that you'll be able to say "hi" to both
Denise Crosby, who played Lieutenant Tasha Yar on Star Trek: Next Generation (squee!!), and
Karen Prell, the puppeteer and voice of Red Fraggle on Fraggle Rock (and the puppeteer for several characters in Labyrinth - double squee!!). I'm totally going to have to step out from behind the booth this year, so I can have my own fangirl moments with those two.
